Procedure

First Visit

#1 Discuss options regarding portrait size, setting, clothing, and composition.

#2 Once a general concept for the painting has been established, we will have a photo session and then review the images. After the photo session, Don will choose reference photos and upon your approval of the reference photo, a 30% deposit secures your spot on Don's commissioned portrait schedule.

#3 You can expect to receive the finished painting around 6 months after the initial photo session. Paintings can take many months to complete and time must be allowed for proper drying and varnishing.

Second Visit

Congratulations! You will be notified via email and phone to schedule pick up of the finished portrait. A custom handmade frame will be made to order especially for you (included in the price) so your finished painting is ready to hang. The remaining balance is due.

Pricing

Portrait commission starts at $1,000.00 USD or converted to Peso, and increases with the size of the painting eg. (1/2 Figure) (2/3 Figure) (Full Figure). Don will be looking forward to hearing from you! Simply give him a call today!
